Author Guidelines

Authors from business, government and academia are encouraged to submit papers to the International Conference on Emerging-Market, Transnational Corporations and Sustainable Development in China and Abroad: What Are the Connections?

Each submission should have an abstract for about 150 words in length, including 5-7 key words. Normally manuscripts should not exceed 20 pages (6,000 words) in length. Book reviews, research notes, and other works, such as commentaries and review articles, should be about 10 pages in length for approximately 3,000 words. An alphabetical list of references should appear at the end of the manuscript. Acknowledgements and appendicesshould appear at the end of the manuscript.

In terms of the citation style, follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 6th edition both for in-text and reference at the end. These mainly include: a) all of the citations in the reference list must also be in the text; and all references cited in text must also be included in the reference list; b) Where there are two articles with the same authors  and date, order the references alphabetically  by  article  title  and  add  a  letter  suffix  to  the  year  of  publication  (e.g. 2003a, 2003b…); and c) be consistent with your referencing style across the document.

The digital object identifier (DOI) is a unique identifier, and should be provided in the reference where it is available. This alphanumeric string is usually located on the first page with other referencing elements in both print and electronic articles. If no DOI is available for an electronic article, provide the URL information in the reference.

References at the end of the article need to be formatted as follows:

  • For conference proceedings: Kimiagari, S., Keivanpour, S. and Mohiuddin, M. (2013). International Strategic Alliances and Knowledge Transfer in Upstream Oil and Gas sector: Prospects for the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). Proceedings of the Academy of International Business-North East (AIB-NE) conference, 2013, October 10-12, Connecticut, USA.
